Ground Fault is displayed on the screen.

The most common cause of the error message 'Ground Fault' is the voltage going outside of the tolerance set in BS7671:2018 722.411.4.1 ident (iv). The limits are 207-253V, if the voltage falls outside of these limits then the unit will stop charging until the fault is cleared.

If this fault occurs often then it is recommended that the DNO is contacted and the under/over voltage is reported. The Electricity Safety, Quality and Continuity Regulations 2002 states the percentages the voltage can vary. Please see the link below for more information.

Fortunately our chargers also comply with ident (v), so if these limits need adjusting we can do that (for instance on a 3ph site where ident (iv) doesn't apply). The limits can be adjusted remotely, providing the unit is online, please submit a support ticket here with the serial number of the charger and we will get that sorted for you.
